Arsenal could be handed a final chance to sign Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak after it was claimed the Magpies have rekindled their interest in Bundesliga hotshot Hugo Ekitike.
The Gunners are one of several Premier League sides - along with Liverpool and Chelsea - who have been linked with a move for Isak, who has scored 62 goals in 109 appearances since moving to St James' Park in 2022.
The Carabao Cup winners, though, are adamant that the Sweden international, who has three years remaining on his current deal, won't be sold this summer.

On Saturday afternoon, however, eyes were raised as The Telegraph reported that Newcastle United were looking to 'rekindle' their interest in Ekitike, a player they tried to sign before he joined Paris Saint-Germain in 2022.
It is claimed that after missing out on Joao Pedro to Chelsea earlier this month, the Magpies are looking to add another striker to their ranks ahead of their return to the Champions League.
But with the Frenchman's release clause standing at an eyewatering £86m, it raises the question as to whether Newcastle could already be preparing for life after Isak at St James' Park.
It is no secret that Arsenal are in the market for a striker this summer as they look to go one better after back-to-back second-place finishes in the Premier League.
The Gunners are currently in negotiations with Sporting CP over a deal for Viktor Gyokeres, but, as it stands, the two sides have been unable to agree on a fee for the Sweden international.
Over the weekend, the former Coventry City and Swansea forward refused to report back for pre-season training in an effort to force through a move to North London.
But if Arsenal are Sporting CP continue to be unable to agree a deal for Gyokeres, then the Gunners could perhaps make a final play for Isak.
