The Jharkhand Home Guard Corps has released an official notification for recruitment to Home Guard positions. Candidates awaiting Home Guard recruitment in Jharkhand will be able to apply soon. The Jharkhand Home Guard Corps will recruit for a total of 510 Home Guard positions. Furthermore, applications will be accepted online only. The application process for these positions will begin on October 24, 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online until November 7, 2025.
Age Limit
The minimum age for applying for these positions is 19 years, and the maximum age is 40 years, as of January 1, 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
The educational qualifications for applying for Home Guard positions vary. To apply for Rural Home Guard positions, candidates must have passed at least the seventh grade from a recognized board in India, and for Urban Home Guard positions, candidates must have passed the tenth grade or equivalent.
The height requirements for General, OBC, and BC male candidates are 162 centimeters, for SC and ST male candidates 157 centimeters, and for female candidates 148 centimeters.
The chest measurement for General, OBC, and BC male candidates is 79 centimeters, and for SC and ST candidates, 76 centimeters.
Selection Method
Candidates will be selected based on a physical examination, a written examination, and a technical proficiency test. The physical examination will include tests in running, high jump, long jump, and shot put. The written examination will consist of 100 questions based on the 7th and 10th-grade curriculum. Additionally, a technical examination will be conducted for candidates who qualify the physical examination and written examination.
