There will be bumper recruitment in the Health Department of Bihar. Applications will start from this day; these people can apply

The Bihar Health Department has issued a notification for recruitment to 1075 Lab Technician posts. Applications can be made online from 1 September to 15 September 2025.

Another big opportunity has come for the youth preparing for government jobs in Bihar. State Health Committee, Bihar (SHS) has released the official notification for recruitment to the posts of 1075 Lab Technician and Senior Lab Technician. The application process will start from 1 September 2025, and candidates will be able to apply online till 15 September 2025. To apply, candidates have to visit shs.bihar.gov.in.

Golden opportunity for youth

The aim of this recruitment campaign is to improve the health services of all the districts of Bihar. Appointments will be made to these posts in various programs running under the National Health Mission (NHM). The maximum of 690 posts is for the Health and Wellness Center (HWC). Apart from this, 207 posts will be filled in NTEP program. There are 90 posts in RTPCR Lab (IDSP), 31 in Blood Bank and 35 in NUHM. Apart from this, posts are also included in other national health programs.

Qualification and educational eligibility

To apply for the post of Lab Technician, the candidate should have passed 12th class with Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) subjects. Along with this, it is necessary to have BMLT or DMLT diploma. For the post of Senior Lab Technician, the candidate should have a degree of MSc (Medical Microbiology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/General Microbiology/Applied Microbiology). Apart from this, there should also be two years of experience in TB lab testing.

Age limit and pay scale

The minimum age for recruitment has been fixed at 21 years and maximum at 37 years. Reserved categories will get age relaxation as per the rules. Talking about salary, Lab Technician will get Rs 24,000 per month and Senior Lab Technician will get Rs 15,000 per month.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of written test and experience. The date and detailed information of the examination will be released soon by the Health Department.

Application Fee

General category, backward class, extremely backward class, economically weaker section and candidates from outside Bihar will have to pay an application fee of Rs 500. At the same time, SC, ST, Divyang and women candidates of the state will have to deposit only Rs 125.

Candidates have to visit the official website of SHS to apply. There the recruitment link will be found in the Advertisement section. After clicking on the link, new registration has to be done and then login and fill the form. After filling the required details, passport size photo and signature have to be uploaded. Finally, pay the application fee and take a printout of the form and keep it safe.
