PAN Card is used not only for tax-related work but also as an identity card. If you have also received an email asking you to download the e-PAN card, then be careful.

How to get an e-PAN card
1. Visit the official website of the Income Tax Department.
2. Select 'Instant e-PAN' service. You will find the option of Instant e-PAN in Quick Links on the homepage.
3. Click on 'Get New e-PAN'. After this, you will have to enter the Aadhaar card number.
4. Verify with OTP. You will receive an OTP on your Aadhaar-linked mobile number. Enter it.
5. Confirm Aadhaar details. Check the name, date of birth, photo, and other details.
6. After verification, your e-PAN will be ready in a few minutes. You can download it as a PDF file.
