At 46, Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi continues to draw attention for his glowing, youthful skin — something his fans and even his colleagues can’t stop talking about. While skincare routines often involve elaborate steps and expensive products, the Haq actor recently revealed that his own approach is as minimal as it gets. During a candid chat with Radio Mirchi Plus while promoting his latest film, Hashmi shared that he is, in fact, quite careless about his skincare.
The director who couldn’t stop asking about his skin
During the promotions of Haq, directed by Suparn Varma, Emraan revealed that his filmmaker was curious about his flawless skin. “Suparn, mere jo director hai, he used to ask me everyday during Haq’s shooting, ‘Emraan, what do you do for your skin?’” the actor said in the interview. Emraan’s response, however, was far from what one would expect. Laughing, he admitted, “Suparn, I would sometimes go and not even take off my under eye makeup. I’m so bad with my skin. I actually have washed my face with handwash.”
Yami Gautam and the director’s fascination
His co-star Yami Gautam, who appeared alongside him during the interaction, chimed in, saying, “I think Suparn, jo humare director hain, wo obsessed hain Emraan ki skin se.” She added that Suparn Varma would often be in awe of Emraan’s glowing complexion, repeatedly expressing surprise over how effortlessly he maintained it. “His impression of you on him, ‘My God! Yami, what skin he has. Look at his skin,’” Yami recounted with a laugh.
Emraan, known for his sharp sense of humour, jokingly replied, “And here I thought I was a good actor.” His light-hearted comment left everyone amused.
While Hashmi’s remarks were shared in jest, they also underline a changing perspective — that skincare isn’t exclusive to women. Even minimal care, as his example shows, can make a visible difference.
