A suspected gas leak led to a cylinder blast in Bengaluru's Wilson Garden area on Friday killed a 10-year-old boy, while 12 others were injured. Around six houses were also damaged in the tragic incident.
The incident took place at Chinnayanpalya of Wilson Garden in Central Bengaluru. It is a tightly packed predominantly residential neighbourhood where houses abut each other.
Adu Godi Police said the injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital. "Rescue work is still going on," an official told PTI. .
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah visited the location and took stock of the situation, while police have visited the site and are conducting an investigation. The Commissioner of Bengaluru City Police also visited the location.
