When will Rishi Panchami be celebrated in 2025?
According to the Panchang, the festival of Rishi Panchami is celebrated every year on the Panchami Tithi of Bhadrapada Shukla Paksha. In the year 2025, this date will start at 3:44 pm on August 27 and end at 5:56 pm on August 28. On this basis, Rishi Panchami is being celebrated on Thursday, August 28, 2025, i.e., today.
The right time for worship
The most auspicious time to worship on this day will be from 11:05 am to 1:39 pm. Worshipping during this period gives special fruits, and there is also a belief that wishes will be fulfilled.
Religious significance of Rishi Panchami
This festival plays a special role in the lives of women. It is believed that this fast is observed to get rid of the rules that are violated knowingly or unknowingly during menstruation. Along with this, it is also considered a medium of self-purification. Fasting and worshiping while expressing reverence towards the sages brings balance and positivity in life.
Snan of Ganga has also been told to be of special importance on this day. If bathing in the Ganges River is not possible, then bathing can be done at home by mixing Gangajal. This gives the experience of mental and spiritual purity.
How to worship Rishi Panchami?
-Get up early in the morning, take a bath, and after cleaning, prepare for the puja.
-Spread a clean red or yellow cloth on a stool in a quiet place in the house.
-Install a picture or symbol of the Saptarishis on it.
-Fill a Kalash with Gangajal and light a lamp.
-Offer flowers, fruits, ghee, Panchamrit etc. in the puja.
-Offer water to the Saptarishis and burn incense.
-Then chant mantras and finally pray for forgiveness for your past mistakes.
-After the puja, distribute the prasad to everyone and take the blessings of the elders of the family.
