What to eat to increase vitamin B12?
Vitamin B12 foods for vegetarians: Keeping the body healthy has become a big challenge in today's busy life. People's eating habits and lifestyle are deteriorating, due to which they have to face many problems. Especially, the lack of nutrients in the body has become a common thing. One of these nutrients is Vitamin B12. This special vitamin is very important for our body. Vitamin B12 not only helps in making DNA, but also does many important tasks like making blood, maintaining the health of the nervous system and giving energy to the body. Its deficiency can cause problems like fatigue, weakness, dizziness, weak memory, tingling in hands and feet, and depression.
Now, the main source of vitamin B12 is non-vegetarian food. In such a situation, this deficiency is seen most in vegetarians. If you are also struggling with this deficiency, then this article can be helpful for you. Famous Ayurvedic doctor Salim Zaidi has shared a video on his YouTube channel. In this video, he has told some such foods for vegetarian people, which can fulfill the deficiency of vitamin B12 without medicines. Let's know what those things are-
Number 1- Milk and dairy products
Dr. Salim says milk is the best source of vitamin B12 for vegetarians. 50–70% of the daily requirement can be met with just one glass of full cream milk. Apart from this, curd, paneer, cheese and whey are also good options. In such a situation, if there is a deficiency of vitamin B12 in the body, include milk and dairy products in the diet.
Number 2- Egg
Doctors say, if you eat eggs, then this is also a good source. One egg contains about 0.6 micrograms of B12. By eating 2–3 eggs a day, you can fulfill a large part of your requirement. However, keep in mind that vitamin B12 is mostly in the egg yolk, so eat the whole egg.
Number 3- Green leafy vegetables
Apart from all these, doctors say that vegetables like spinach, beetroot, mushrooms and carrots can also provide small amounts of B12. In such a situation, doctors recommend making these vegetables a part of the daily diet.
Dr. Salim Zaidi says, if you are a pure vegetarian and often feel problems like fatigue, dizziness, forgetfulness or tingling in hands and feet, then it is possible that you have a deficiency of vitamin B12. In such a situation, first get a blood test done and then try to overcome this deficiency with these natural remedies. However, if the deficiency of B12 is very severe, then definitely consult a doctor.
