Katie Price's furious Peter Andre rant as she holds 'worst fears' for kids

Send Push

It’s been 16 years since Katie Price split from her first husband, Peter Andre, but it seems their feud is far from over. In fact, things appear to have escalated even further, and the former glamour model is said to have reached breaking point.

In a furious rant, Katie, 47, claimed she was “left out” of their daughter Princess’s 18th birthday party, which was hosted by Peter and his wife Emily. “The situation has really upset Katie,” says a source.

“There has been a build-up of tension recently and it all came to a head last week over Princess’s birthday. Katie was devastated and felt like she had basically been banned from attending. All the talk about their relationship angered and upset her, and she had a bit of a meltdown – because she is still so close to her kids.

“Falling out with her children would be her worst fear. They only have one mum and it is her. She adores them, sees them regularly and she’d never want to lose that.”

Princess celebrated her milestone birthday at an intimate party with dad Peter, 52, and his wife, Emily MacDonagh, 35. Members of Pete’s management team, The Can Group, were also guests. But the top PR company found themselves on the receiving end of Katie’s anger after she alleged she wasn’t invited because they wouldn’t “allow” Princess – who they also represent – to be seen with her mother.

“Princess is now an adult, so, officially, Mummy and Princess can go out together,” Katie stated on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, before adding, pointedly, “If certain people would let her be seen with me.”

However, when contacted by New magazine, the management firm claimed: “We have never – and would never – stop Princess from seeing Katie. We would never intervene in any of our clients seeing their parents or not.”

Another source claims: “Pete and Emily simply put on a three-hour party for Princess’ 18th, which is totally normal for any child of parents who have split. They organise things separately – Pete’s never been invited to anything Katie’s organised, and vice versa. Katie was in Dubai – she could have come back.

“It’s such a shame – this should have been about Princess. It’s an important birthday, she’s doing so well in her career and she should have been enjoying it, rather than worrying about all this.”

While Katie may not have been involved in the Andres’ party, it was believed she and Princess would celebrate in their own way. “Maybe we’ll have a nice dinner together,” Princess told OK! magazine last month.

However, Katie – who, during her trip to Dubai, shared an image of writing on a beach which read, ‘My daughters will always be my Princesses’ – later suffered an embarrassing social media blunder when she posted a birthday message to Princess two days early.

“Happy 18th Birthday to the most amazing daughter. And my best friend @‌princess_andre. I love you so much,” she wrote on 27 June, before swiftly deleting it, later sharing a second message on 29 June – Princess’ actual birthday.

Following the faux pas, Katie fell foul of online trolls, with one saying she “can’t even remember her own daughter’s birthday”.

This, the source close to Katie claims, made her see red. “She doesn’t like being trolled or for people to think she’s a bad mum. She loves her kids.”

Meanwhile, Katie spoke of her lack of involvement in Princess’ upcoming ITV reality show on the podcast, saying, “I’m not in it. Certain people don’t think it’s good for Princess to be seen with me,” claimed Katie, who also shares son Junior, 20, with Peter.

Katie’s sister and podcast co-host, Sophie, then chimed in, “You aren’t on brand, Kate. You’re too risky.” Clearly riled, Katie continued, “It’s pathetic. I’m her mother… It’s so sad.” Sophie then cut in, diplomatically “let’s save that for another day”.

Katie’s rant is the latest in a string of controversial comments about her ex-husband, who she fell for while appearing on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004. At the time of her divorce from the singer, Katie admitted she didn’t want to split up, saying, “Pete is the love of my life. I am devastated and disappointed by his decision.”

Last October, Katie branded Peter “jealous” as she discussed their divorce on The Louis Theroux Podcast. And when quizzed about how they communicate post-split, she simply said, “Don’t speak to him.”

Both Princess and Junior have a strong bond with their pop star dad and spend most of their time at home with him, Emily, and their three children – Amelia, 11, Theo, eight, and one-year-old Arabella.

Katie said last year, “[Princess and Junior] know their dad is never written about in a bad way. They know I’m always written about in a bad way.”

The source close to Katie adds, “She doesn’t like constantly being painted in a bad light. Pete feels as though he is the protector and because their relationship is strained it’s a tough balance to strike. It’s been a case of high emotions for Katie.”

Katie’s agent had no comment.
