Former Love Island winner Amber Davies has joined the 2025 Strictly Come Dancing line-up - but some fans have concerns for the busy star.
The reality TV star, who won the ITV2 dating series with Kem Cetinay in 2017, replaces fellow Love Island alum Dani Dyer-Bowen after she was forced to pull out of the BBC dancing show this week after fracturing her ankle in a fall during rehearsals.
Amber, who will be partnered with Nikita Kuzmin, said: "This has been the craziest 24 hours of my life. I’ve watched Strictly with my family since I was younger and to now be part of the show is a dream come true. I’m going to give it my all and I am sending Dani well wishes for a speedy recovery. I hope I do her proud."

Amber's signing has raised a few eyebrows thanks to her career. Since winning Love Island almost a decade ago, Amber has been treading the boards and working in musical theatre - recently bagging the role of Elle Woods in a new production of Legally Blonde The Musical.
"As much as I love Amber she’s another trained dancer (yes I know she’s not trained in ballroom) but still has rhythm and dance experience lol," one fan questioned as Amber's Strictly gig was confirmed. A second critic mused: "Amber Davis is a professional dancer no? how is that fair?"
However, most commentators were delighted to see Amber announced as Dani's announcement. As the news broke, one penned on Twitter (X): "AMBER DAVIES STEPPING IN TO DANCE WITH NIKITA??? this couldn’t get any fucking better for me ohhhhh my god a ringer and musical theatre girlie with my fav pro LET’S WIN STRICTLY!!"
"Amber Daves going on Strictly was not on my bingo card, but I ain't mad about it," another added, with a third declaring: "AMBER DAVIES DOING STRICTLY OH MOTHER."
"Amber Davies world domination," another positive comment read as others shared concerns for Amber's hectic schedule. Noting how booked and busy the reality TV star is, one quipped: "not amber being in both strictly rehearsals AND legally rehearsals??
Amber's casting in new production of Legally Blonde musical was announced earlier this week. The musical will tour the UK and Ireland next year, starting at Leicester’s Curve Theatre on February 7.
Amber has embarked on a musical theatre career since winning the third series of ITV show Love Island in 2017. Her most recent roles include that of Jordan Baker in the London production of The Great Gatsby, Vivian Ward in the UK tour of Pretty Woman and Lorraine Baines in the West End production of Back To The Future The Musical.
"I’m absolutely thrilled to be playing the iconic role of Elle Woods in ROYO and Curve’s new production of Legally Blonde," Amber said on Monday. "As a huge fan of the film and the musical, this part is the role of a lifetime, and I am honoured to be stepping into Elle’s perfect heels."
Based on the novel Legally Blonde by Amanda Browning and the 2001 film of the same name starring Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Coolidge, the multi-award winning Legally Blonde The Musical features original music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin.
Amber added: "I have always wanted to work with the incredible theatrical mind that is Nikolai Foster, and I am so excited to hit the road again and bring Laurence O’Keefe’s incredible score back to the UK!"
