Hero MotoCorp is gearing up to shake up the 125cc commuter bike segment with the launch of its “most futuristic 125cc motorcycle” on August 19, 2025. The company has released a teaser claiming that this bike will redefine the segment with features never seen before in this category.
What’s New in Hero’s Upcoming 125cc?The teaser and spy shots hint that the motorcycle could be the new Hero Glamour X 125. Unlike typical 125cc bikes that focus on mileage and affordability, this one is loaded with tech-first features.
-
TFT display with smartphone connectivity & navigation
-
LED indicators and LED tail lamp
-
Cruise control (segment-first)
-
Riding modes
If Hero truly offers cruise control and riding modes, this will mark a major leap for commuter bikes in India.
Engine and PerformanceMechanically, the bike is expected to use the familiar 124.7cc single-cylinder engine from the current Glamour, delivering around 10–11 hp power output. While the core hardware remains familiar—telescopic forks, monoshock suspension, and alloy wheels—design updates will give it a sportier and more premium appeal.
Price ExpectationsCurrently, the Hero Glamour Xtec is priced between ₹90,472 – ₹95,220 (ex-showroom), while the standard Glamour starts at ₹87,200. With the new features, the Glamour X 125 could be priced around ₹1.03 lakh ex-showroom, placing it in the premium 125cc segment.
This will put it in direct competition with:
-
Honda Shine
-
Honda SP 125
-
TVS Raider
The bike is expected to sport:
-
Sharper styling
-
New tank cover & updated graphics
-
More angular tail section
The 125cc segment is one of the most competitive in India, with buyers balancing mileage, affordability, and modern features. By introducing advanced features like TFT display, cruise control, and riding modes, Hero is aiming to bridge the gap between commuter and premium bikes.
