A 31-year-old engineer from Meerut, Rohit, was found dead by hanging in Hotel Khubsurat, Pachkuiyan (Lohamandi), Agra. The tragedy came to light after hotel staff grew suspicious when Rohit did not respond to knocks on Monday morning, prompting them to alert police. Upon entering, authorities discovered Rohit’s body hanging from the fan—he had checked in just the previous evening.
Shocking details emerged during the investigation, as police recovered a pen drive containing a PDF suicide note and a wish list. The note did not blame anyone for the death, and the reason for Rohit’s extreme step remains unresolved according to ACP Lohamandi. His poignant note included lines like, “I am her first patient, she is my last doctor,” and requested that his body be donated to SN Medical College and his organs used for donation if possible.
Rohit, who completed engineering in Ghaziabad, had been missing from home in Meerut since July 10. His mother passed away two and a half years ago, and his father—a retired police officer—told authorities that Rohit was unmarried and mostly lived alone. The note further requested his family not perform the traditional 13-day mourning rituals and to avoid informing relatives, reflecting his desire for privacy even after death.
Police confirmed that two foreign numbers and a contact named Mohit were listed in the document, yet there was no indication of foul play. Forensic teams were called to the scene and the body was sent for postmortem. The contents of the suicide note are under further review, as investigators continue to piece together what led Rohit to take this drastic step.
