On being honored with 'The Officer of the Order of the Star of Ghana' in Ghana, Prime Minister Modi said, 'It is a matter of great pride and honor for me to be honored with Ghana's highest honor ... I express my deep gratitude to President Mahama, the Government of Ghana and the people of Ghana.'

Earlier, PM Modi held a meeting with Ghana's President John Dramani Mahama. After the talks, officials of India and Ghana signed four agreements between the two countries. On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi said that President Mahama and he have decided to expand the bilateral partnership between India and Ghana.

He said, we have set a target to double India-Ghana trade in the next five years. We are unanimous on the fact that terrorism is the enemy of humanity.

Let us tell you that PM Modi will be on a visit to Ghana, Trinidad-Tobago, Argentina, Brazil, and Namibia till July 9. During this, he will participate in the 17th BRICS summit in Brazil on July 6 and 7. This is expected to give a new dimension to India's relations with the countries of the global south.
PM Modi gave a message to the whole world from African soil.
Regarding foreign policy, PM Modi said that both countries are seriously concerned about the situation in West Asia and Europe. He said that this is not the era of war, problems should be solved through dialogue and diplomacy.
