Celebrity chef mocks 'fake' Meghan Markle in brutal GB News rant

GB News presenter Patrick Christys skewered Meghan Markle and her Netflix show during a discussion with TV chef Jameson Stocks. Stocks - who claims he was asked to appear on the Duchess of Sussex's programme With Love, Meghan until he criticised it - opened up about the alleged "row" before things descended into a brutal slam against Meghan.

Stocks claimed: "Basically I came onto the show, I basically said what I thought about her show. A lot of love, a bit of hate, a few of the Sussex squad came after me as usual. And then Netflix kind of protected her, then they withdrew it a little bit, then they protected her, then now they've got season two going out.

"People have to remember season two was filmed at the same time as season one. It's the same show. It's not like it got recommissioned, it's just a continuation of the first nonsense."

Christys chimed in: "Which didn't rate particularly well," as Stocks agreed: "It didn't, no, it didn't even get into the top 300."

Netflix has stated that "no legal letter was sent to Jameson Stocks from Netflix" despite the chef's claims to the contrary.

He went on to claim: "I have nothing against her, I just didn't like the idea of me putting my knowledge into a programme and not getting the benefits of it. I'd rather put my knowledge into a programme and me get the benefits of it rather than some fake chef."

An irate Christys said: "She basically tarts a lot of stuff up with flower petals, as far as I can tell."

Asked if it was "soul-destroying" to see Meghan land a cooking show with little experience, Stocks admitted: "It's not soul-destroying, but I've trained in three Michelin star restaurants, with top chefs, doing 18-hour days, not earning a lot of money.

"I've done, obviously, TV shows and stuff but I certainly wasn't paid over $100million to create a programme like she has. She's had the best producers, the best backing, she's had millions of dollars spent on a programme and it's been a flop."

Panellist Cristo Foufas chimed in with a jab of his own: "I do love the moments on the programme where they're like, 'We're just doing some cooking, but why don't we take a moment, Meghan, just to talk about how amazing you are and how much you do with your day?'

"And you're just like, 'I am going to actually vomit and I will produce something from my stomach via my mouth that will be more worthwhile than what you are cooking here."
