"The video shows that multiple primary school students and parents were hit at the scene. The specific casualty situation is currently unclear."

"The exact motive is unknown. The social-media post indicates multiple children and parents were struck; the precise casualty numbers and whether any deaths occurred are currently unclear.
"This follows a troubling line of 'revenge against society' attacks when mostly single men use mass violence to protest the extreme authoritarianism in China ran through mass state surveillance and crushing work weeks."
Last November, several students and adults were injured after a car was driven into a crowd of people outside a primary school in the southern province of Hunan. It was the third attack on a crowd in China in the space of a week, sparking concerns for public safety.
A separate incident saw at least 35 people killed after a man sped his car into a group of people on a sports track in southern China. Meanwhile, a man killed three people and wounded 15 others in a supermarket stabbing in Shanghai in October last year.
