Armed police have surrounded a house in Leeds after concerns of weapons at the property. West Yorkshire Police sent officers to the scene shortly before 8am after a call from a concerned member of the public. Ambulances and fire engines have also been spotted in the area, while a large police cordon has been put in place. The force said specialist officers were called in and remain at the scene to resolve the incident with the man inside.
A spokesperson said: "Police were called to an address on Wykebeck Mount, Leeds at 7.50am today after a caller expressed concern for the safety of a man there. Due to the nature of reports made, specialist officers have attended along with partner agencies. Other persons inside have safely left the property and officers remain on scene to further speak with the male inside and resolve the incident."
