Meghan Markle has been called out by royal fans over a bizarre detail in one of her recent photos on social media. The Duchess of Sussex took to her brand, As Ever's official Instagram account over the weekend to post a new snap of herself.
In the image, Meghan was seen picking up what appears to be an apricot - her brand's collection's latest star product - from an apricot tree. It was captioned: "Weekend plans: pick, snack, repeat."
The Duchess wore a white linen shirt and a fedora with her initials on it. Her hair was styled in a loose bun.
But royal fans were quick to point out that Meghan appeared to pick the only ripe apricot on the tree, while the rest of them were still green, suggesting that the image had been manipulated and calling her out for "deceit".
One user said on X: "So #MeghanMarkle just happened to find the ONLY RIPE APRICOT on the entire tree? When none of them are even remotely ripe? Got it."
Another one pointed: "Meghan again trying to act like her apricot spread is coming from her garden, and not from some factory...the deceit is astounding."
A third one wrote: "It's not only the one ripe apricot, it's the only apricot I could see!"
A fourth one commented: "That particular apricot just happened to ripen right on cue perfect for her photoshoot. So genuine. So authentic. Almost like nature itself is on her PR team."
A fifth one joked: "And she's holding it upside down - that's why it's the only ripe one because it grew upside down. It's miraculous."
Others appeared to like Meghan's new photo, with one fan saying on Instagram: "This is the vibe looking at this stunning photo of Princess Meghan. Whatever you are bottling baby girl, im here for it."
Another one added: "Meghan is so lovely and she is blessed."
