'Refreshing' Netflix rom-com returns as fans hail it a 'favourite'

The second series of a fan favourite rom-com has been described as "refreshing", and it is now streaming on Netflix. Nobody Wants This is an American romantic comedy television series created by Erin Foster, and starring Kristen Bell, Adam Brody, Justine Lupe, and Timothy Simons.

It is centred on the unlikely relationship between an outspoken, agnostic woman and an unconventional rabbi. The first series premiered on September 26 on Netflix to positive reviews from critics, and it has received several accolades, with the first season earning three nominations at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards, for Outstanding Comedy Series and acting nominations for Bell and Brody. The second series has just been released on Netflix.

The series synopsis reads: "Nobody Wants This is a romantic comedy series about an agnostic sex podcaster, Joanne (Kristen Bell), and a rabbi, Noah (Adam Brody), who fall in love despite their different backgrounds. The series, though not receiving as many glowing reviews as the first outing of Nobody Wants This, is receiving praise from critics and fans alike.

It currently has a 76% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with the critics consensus stating: "In its second outing, Nobody Wants This' sharp humor and warmly chaotic ensemble keep it an engaging and emotionally observant rom-com that still charms even as it stumbles."

A reviewer said: "One of my favourite series is back! And it's still soooo good!!!"

A second viewer said the series was "completely amazing, emotional and beautiful to see a cast like this", while a third said the series was "charming, thoughtful and downright funny most of the time".

"Season 2 is just as good as season 1. I feel so refreshed and happy watching this show and seeing a relationship between two people actually look genuine even when there are problems. The chemistry between Brody and Bell is phenomenal and it really makes the show. I could watch many seasons of this show. I hope we get the season 3 renewal soon," added another fan.
